Dr. Jon Metz is only one of about 30 elite coaches who hold the certification of USA Triathlon Level III Coach. He is also a USA Triathlon Youth & Junior Certified Coach, IRONMAN Certified Coach, and TrainingPeaks Certified Coach. In addition, to his coaching expertise, he has been professionally trained as an educator to impart knowledge to learners. As President and CEO of TriVault, he successfully trains and mentors athletes as well as other coaches across the United States.
Jon holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership. Additionally, Dr. Metz is an experienced coach. His international and domestic experience includes camps, clinics, groups, teams, and individual coaching. Beyond working with athletes, he instructs and mentors coaches in the area of effective coaching. His experience in the field of education and athletics is the perfect combination to ensure coaches understand and apply teaching skills to better connect with their athletes. Dr. Metz provides leadership to support education as part of the Olympic movement. He is the founding President of the College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA). The CTCA was established to provide educational, professional, technical, and competitive support to the association membership as well as seeks to develop the sport among all NCAA institutions. Dr. Metz was instrumental in creating one of the first NCAA Varsity Triathlon Programs in the United States.

His clients include all levels of athletes from beginners to those who have qualified for the Ironman World Championship in Kona and members of Team USA at World Championships.
